Is there a Tory mandate for new grammar schools?
Nick Gibb says the Tory manifesto pledged to "increase the number of good places" and plans would allow people from poor backgrounds to have the same access as those who can now afford to move to areas with outstanding schools.
The schools minister was speaking to Daily Politics presenter Andrew Neil about the electoral mandate of the prime minister's plans for extra grammar schools in England.
