Knife Crime, Hurricane Matthew & National Poetry Day

Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.

Should prison sentences for those who carry knives and threaten people be longer than they are at the moment? At the minute you can get up to 4 years in prison if you're carrying a knife even if you don't use it.

The governor of the American state of Florida has warned the destruction could be "catastrophic" if Hurricane Matthew slams into the state. He's urged people to prepare for the biggest evacuation ever seen there. We react to that news throughout the programme.

To celebrate National Poetry Day we're going to be reading your Leicestershire Landmark Poems throughout the morning, and we'll be hearing from some of our special guest readers!
