'The rhyme is in muscle memory' Poet Kate Tempest on memorising long texts
'Allow yourself to go to that part - and its there' Kate Tempest shares techniques for memorising long texts with Mark and Stuart.
Brought up in Brockley, South-East London, she says she had a 'wayward youth' but was encouraged by her English teacher who gave her books to inspire her. She studied at the BRIT School and then Goldsmiths University of London. Since then she's won the Ted Hughes Award for her work Brand New Ancients and was selected as one of the Next Generation Poets by the Poetry Society in 2014.
