The Brownlee’s training partner: ‘Jonny’s well – but not quite fit!’
Alistair Brownlee made a dramatic display of brotherly love at the weekend - when he helped his brother Jonny over the line at the Triathalon World Series in Mexico.
Mark Buckingham is an Elite triathlete and training partner of the Brownlee brothers. He said: “I don’t think he has much recollection of what happened but he is fit and well – maybe not quite fit!”
Jonny was on course to win the World Series title - but his legs gave way on the home straight in dramatic fashion. With Alistair's help he finished second.
“I know he’ll be kicking himself today, but I think he’ll just be happy that they are both ok,” Mark added.
