When bombs rain down on Syria, the White Helmets run in. They're committed to saving everyone they can from the rubble – regardless of side – and yet they've become targets in the process. Having saved over 60,000 lives to date, the White Helmets were nominated for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. Their extraordinary work continues, as documented in a recent Netflix film.
