The eagles being reintroduced to Ireland

Raptors, including the golden eagle and the white-tailed sea eagle, used to inhabit Ireland.

But hundreds of years of hunting and habitat loss devastated their numbers - by the turn of the century these birds of prey had disappeared from Ireland.

Since 2007 the Golden Eagle Trust has been helping to reintroduce the birds.

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Travel Show's Christa Larwood visits the Aillwee Caves, which has a birds of prey education centre, to find out more.
