Anthony Foley: Tributes paid to Munster Rugby head coach
大象传媒 Sport Scotland's Tom English paid tribute to Munster Rugby Coach Anthony Foley following the news of his sudden death.
Foley, 42, died overnight at the hotel where the team were staying prior to Sunday's game against Racing 92.
"I'm in total shock. I spent a lot of years writing about Anthony Foley's Munster, admiring the qualities of him as a man. As a rugby player, his leadership skills were extraordinary," English reflected.
"Everything that we know about Munster Rugby now, the uncompromising nature of it, the honesty of it, that was Anthony Foley," he added.
Foley initially took over as Munster forwards coach in 2011 before graduating to head coach in 2014 after the departure of Rob Penney.
