The comic about real acid attack victims that fights back
From victims of rape to the survivors of acid attacks - that's the next chapter in Priya's Shakti - the comic about a rape victim that fights back. Priya's Mirror is all about her helping India's acid attack survivors because, as the writer says, they face the same cultural stigma as India's rape victims.
It's being launched at Mumbai's Comic Con. Although no proper statistics exist, it's thought there are as many as 1,500 acid attacks globally every year, with as many as a thousand estimated in India alone. Asian Network's Sheetal Parmar has more.
