'If scriptures were not open for interpretation… they would not continue to guide people'
Philosopher, Kwame Anthony Appiah argues that the openness of religious texts is not a "bug" but a "feature" for guiding people over long periods. He suggests that scriptures that do not adapt are very often abandoned, in the first of the 2016 ´óÏó´«Ã½ Reith Lectures, Creed.
