Mayor: Foley's passing reminded me of Diana's death
Hear the mayor of Limerick, Kieren O'Halloran discusses the death of Munster Rugby's Head Coach Anthony Foley.
Speaking before the funeral of the 42 year old, O'Halloran said: "I remember the day John F Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, and for us in Limerick, we'll always remember the day and the time that we learned of the tragic loss of our beloved Anthony."
The loss of Foley is felt particularly hard in a community intrinsically linked to the sport of rugby union, O'Halloran added: "Limerick and rugby just cannot be separated. There's no other conversation in Limerick this week, he'll be sorely missed by everyone. Looking at the shrine at Thomond Park it reminds me of when Diana died."
