Military grade “Doggy armour”
A dog owner from Essex has created “military grade” body armour that small dogs can wear to protect them from being mauled by bigger breeds.
Bradley Davis and his wife Rachel’s “doggy armour” is made out of strong, tightly woven fabric and has a neck guard to protect against bites. The couple’s pug-beagle cross, Tilly, has been modelling the range for them.
“Inside the jacket is military grade material,” Bradley said. “To test it out, I put some nails in a block of wood and drove a car over it – the nails didn’t penetrate the jacket at all,” he added.
Bradley created the padded suit after hearing about The Only Way is Essex’s Bobby Norris’ pet Beau who was killed after being bitten by a larger dog.
