John Craven on eighty years of 大象传媒 Television
The Countryfile star told Phil Kennedy about his memories on the small screen.
John Craven:
"Don't forget there were only three channels to watch (in the 1970s), and there was no remote control button. If you wanted to change the channel you'd have to get out of your seat and change it."
"People still do like to watch TV as a bit of an occasion."
"Newsround in the mid 1970s was getting seven million viewers. Of course there were an awful lot of adults watching too as we were the first TV news bulletin of the day."
