An unusual chapter was added to cricket's book of quirks whed two Ranji Trophy matches in Delhi had to be abandoned because of smog.

Caused by a combination of Diwali fireworks and farmers burning crop stubble on the plains north of Delhi, it caused players to complain of burning eyes and headaches.
