Beverley Cuddy, editor of the Dogs Today magazine, told 5 live Breakfast that the act of freezing a dog鈥檚 sperm for future generation is 鈥渜uite common鈥�, but mostly amongst international show dog owners. Beverley spoke to 5 live after Lewis Hamilton revealed that he鈥檚 had his dog鈥檚 sperm frozen. The formula 1 star said he has taken the measure in order to have Roscoe鈥檚 puppies in the future. Beverley had this to say:

鈥淢aybe he鈥檚 actually quite progressive, and he鈥檚 actually read up on this and realised that all the things he loves about this dog, maybe he could preserve, and then mate with another dog that鈥檚 actually less challenged鈥� adding 鈥渂ut really, most people would say start again.鈥�

She added: 鈥淗e loves that dog, he absolutely adores it and would do anything for it, but we would encourage him to think hard about the idea of reproducing.鈥�
