Earlier this year the 大象传媒's Ed Butler made a documentary for Radio 4, exploring the secretive and shocking world of Malawi鈥檚 'hyenas', the men hired to sexually initiate adolescent and pre-adolescent girls.

The act is not seen by village elders as rape, but as a form of ritual "cleansing".

Ed Butler tells PM's Eddie Mair what happened to one of the 'hyenas', Eric Avina, as a result of the investigation.
