How to ask for a pay rise
Less than a third of women would be confident asking for a pay rise at work, according to a survey carried out for 5 live as part of the 大象传媒's 100 Women season.
The survey suggests women are less confident than men at asking for a raise or applying for a promotion.
They are also more likely to feel they're not paid fairly for the work they do.
Dulcie Shepherd from the business coaching firm Profitably Engaged has these top tips (for men and women) on asking your boss for a pay rise.
