SNP MP: Irn-Bru 'reminds us of home' in 'strange place'

Over 8000 cans of Irn-Bru have been sold in Houses of Parliament over the last year - an increase of 60%.

The spike in sales coincides with the SNP upping its number of seats from six to 56 in the 2015 general election.

Glasgow North MP Patrick Grady thought "the increase in sales represents an increase in work rate".

He added: "The Palace of Westminster is a very strange place" and drinking the Scottish soft drink "reminds us of home".
