MSP recalls distress of losing a baby
Campaigners have been calling for tougher regulations after 大象传媒 Scotland found there have been 25,000 adverse events in maternity wards since 2011.
They include the deaths of three mothers, 79 still born babies and 26 babies who died just after they were born. Health Secretary Shona Robison has announced a review into the so-called "unnecessary deaths" of six babies at Crosshouse House hospital in Kilmarnock.
SNP MSP Kennerth Gibson has called for the inquiry to be wider and deeper, as he shared the experience of his wife Patricia in 2009.
