Berlin Tragedy Reaction, Hospital Singing & Alzheimers Treatment

Researchers in Leicester are at the forefront of work to find treatments for Alzheimers.

Twelve people have been killed after a lorry drove into a crowded Christmas market in Berlin last night. Forty-eight others are injured. German Police say they are treating it as a deliberate attack.

In a bid to rekindle some of those memories, dementia patients at the Evington Centre at Leicester General Hospital's mental health unit have been enjoying a special festive singsong.

It's being called one of the biggest health challenges of the 21st century. But, researchers here in Leicester are at the forefront of work to try to find treatments for Alzheimers.
