Escape from IS
"We really thought that our lives had come to an end" (Fr Jacques Mourad)
A Catholic priest who was kidnapped in Syria by IS has given his first broadcast interview in the UK since fleeing the country. Fr Jacques Mourad was taken from his monastery in the town of Quaryatayn last year, and was held prisoner for months by militants before being rescued. He's now in the UK to tell his story. He's been friends with Exeter university professor Emma Loosely for 20 years - they met when she volunteered in his monastery. He doesn't speak English so she's translated his interview with Sima Kotecha.
