Social care facing 'humanitarian crisis'
The Red Cross calls for a sustainable funding solution for social care, describing last week's Autumn Statement as "disappointing".
The charity's chief executive Mike Adamson said cuts to social care meant that half a million people were no longer receiving support and that the voluntary sector was "picking up the pieces".
Speaking to the Westminster Hour's Sam Macrory, Mr Adamson added: "People are living lives that are not lives that we would want our own parents to be living in the latter years of their lives."
