Sabrina Mahfouz on the poetic train journey out of London
British-Egyptian playwright, Sabrina Mahfouz observes the journey out of London in poetic verse.
Taken from 大象传媒 Two's Railway Nation: A Journey in Verse the poet captures the train journey to Milton Keynes. In 1936, poet WH Auden and composer Benjamin Britten made a classic documentary about a train travelling across Britain - Night Mail. 80 years on Mahfouz joined five of Britain's best poets who traveled in Auden's footsteps, capturing, in verse, the human stories of those on board the west coast main line.
