Bees, beetles and butterflies on the decline
University of Reading authors have contributed to a United Nations report.
Deepa Senapathi:
"Global pollination services are worth about $500 billion annually.
"Three quarters of the world's crops depend on insect pollinators...this adds up to a serious amount of money.
"We do need to know what we can do to save them, and the first step to doing that is what's causing their decline in the first place.
"How we can save them is very high on the agenda."
