There has been another day of drama in the European divorce saga that is Brexit. The EU's chief Brexit negotiator, Frenchman Michel Barnier, said the EU and UK would have only 18 months to come to a deal. Meanwhile the German Chancellor Angela Merkel has also warned about what the EU is prepared to give the UK - saying there will be no tariff free access to the single market without freedom of movement. We ask Elmar Brok, senior German member of the European Parliament, if he agrees with the positions being taken towards Brexit by Angela Merkel and others.

A spate of deadly attacks by the Somalian Islamist militants al-Shabab over the past four years has led to a steady decline in tourism on the Kenyan coast, which has hit the local economy hard, as the 大象传媒's Joshua Thorpe reports.

The streets of China were once dominated by the bicycle. Now they are crammed with barely-moving cars generating enormous levels of pollution. Yet two young entrepreneurs have been able to persuade some of their country's most powerful tech giants to invest millions of yuan into their rival cycling startups. Both companies are offering bikes to hire with phone booking and satellite tracking features. China correspondent Stephen McDonell has been investigating.
