The United Arab Emirates is known for its fantastical projects. Man-made islands. Indoor ski slopes. And in 2014, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, announced that he wants to send a probe to Mars by 2021. So how are they getting along so far?
