Farm festivals are big business
Business leaders are calling on the Government to do more to champion rural investment.
The Country Land and Business Association wants to see more of a focus on promoting growth in the countryside economy, where they say there is plenty of untapped potential for landowners to enter new markets.
Matt Keene, whose family farm in Gloucester has expanded to include a farm shop, annual music festival and wedding venue on site, spoke to us about the importance of rural investment.
Matt said: 鈥淲ith traditional farming, it鈥檚 a go big or go home attitude.鈥
鈥淣ot many have grown on the scale we have, but lot of farmers are having to diversify into things like cheese production,鈥 he added.
