Why is knife crime on the rise?
This programme has learned that the number of people seriously injured or killed by knife crime has risen by 20% in the last year – halting the downward trend since 2010.
Previously much knife crime was believed to be gang related, but the Metropolitan Police has told ´óÏó´«Ã½ Victoria Derbyshire that 75% of incidents in London last year were committed by people not linked with organised groups.
