Why would toys want to record children?
A coalition of consumer groups in the US has just filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. They say the Cayla doll and also the i-Que Intelligent Robot, made by Genesis Toys, are recording and collecting what the children say to them and sending the audio files to Nuance, the company that supplies the voice services. And all without any permissions or regard to privacy rules. Kate Cox Consumerist magazine talks to the 大象传媒's Roger Hearing.
