Commuter and rail union boss go head-to-head on strikes
Hundreds of thousands of commuters are once again facing disrupted journeys on Southern trains, as drivers from the ASLEF union go on a 48 hour strike.
It's the latest in a long-running row over plans to make drivers close train doors, rather than conductors. Members of the RMT union have already staged a series of walkouts.
Regular passenger Kate and ASLEF's Marz Colombini went head-to-head on Your Call.
"I don't think using the health and safety argument holds water," she said. "I'm not anti-union, but I am anti a lack of common sense."
Marz argued: "There are serious concerns. There's been some horrific incidents and we would not want to see those happen any more."
