Anorexia sufferer is “so frustrated” he can’t get help
Simon Rickards fears he may die from his eating disorder.
He was diagnosed with anorexia earlier this year, but recently his condition has deteriorated and he now urgently needs a bed in a specialist eating disorder unit. But 10 weeks on and Simon is still waiting.
He says doctors have struggled to find him one because of his gender as some units can’t accommodate male patients.
Simon recorded a video diary documenting his struggle to get the help he desperately needs.
