Sturgeon adviser: EU 'sweetheart deal' unlikely
A proposal by Nicola Sturgeon for Scotland to stay in the EU single market while England leaves is "politically very difficult", one of the experts tasked with advising her has said.
Charles Grant told Radio 4's The World At One that for Scotland to stay in the single market, all powers over business regulation would need to be devolved to Holyrood, "which I don't think is on the cards".
