A car crashed into the safety barrier on the A14 as the driver avoided two oncoming lorries.

The vehicle was heading in the wrong direction on the westbound carriageway near Nacton.

The driver fled the scene.

Police are investigating a possible connection with an earlier car-jacking at Waldringfield where a newsagent delivery man had his vehicle stolen.
