English pub concept is sold to China
Since President Xi Jinping's visit to the then British prime minister's country residence in 2015, Chinese visitors have flocked to the Plough in the English village of Cadsden. It is the nearest pub to Chequers, the Prime Minister's Buckinghamshire retreat. Now Chinese investors have bought it and plan to use it as a model for another 30-40 pubs to be opened in China.
