Donald Trump defied almost all predictions and won the United States Presidential election and Britain voted to leave the European Union. Samsung had a terrible 2016 after it had to withdraw its latest smartphone following instances where the devices caught fire. Hayley Tsukayama, technology writer for the Washington Post, reflects on the year in tech. And Uzoma Dozie, chief executive of Diamond Bank, tells us that many Nigerian businesses remain upbeat after a difficult year for the economy.
