Hampshire war veteran embarks on Explorers Grand Slam world record attempt
It's that time when many of us set ourselves new challenges for the year ahead.
27-year-old war veteran Jake Gardner from Southampton is aiming to become part of the first disabled team in history to complete a notorious challenge known as the Gland Slam.
It involves summiting the highest peaks on each of the seven continents and walking unsupported to the North and South Poles.
