Fairy Fingers: The sign language fairy
A pantomime which features sign language in every performance may be the first of its kind in the UK.
The production of Jack and Beanstalk in Doncaster features a character called 鈥楩airy Fingers鈥 who translates the spoken script and all the songs into sign language.
The director and co-writer of the production, Matthew Bugg, said 鈥楩airy Fingers鈥 makes the show different by being 鈥減art of the action鈥.
He said: 鈥淩ather than standing by the side of the stage, doing her sign language, we wanted her to be one of the characters and drive the story forward.鈥
