Ultra-marathon dog Gobi reaches the UK
Gobi the dog has finally put paws on British soil, six months after meeting owner Dion Leonard during an ultra-marathon across the Gobi desert in China.
Speaking to 5 live back in August, Dion said he knew the then-unnamed dog was meant to spend her life with him after the pair completed the second leg of the 42km (26 miles) race together.
He was in the process of putting Gobi into quarantine in China when the little pup went missing. After a huge social media appeal, she was miraculously found and re-united with Dion. He said it was "love again at immediate sight."
The pair have now reached Dion's home in Edinburgh where Gobi has settled in. Although she's not too impressed with their cat Lara!
