Princess Diana letter sells for 拢3,200 at auction
A collection of Royal memorabilia including letters written by Princess Diana have been sold at an auction in Cambridge. The letter in the video above sold for 拢3,200, well above the 拢400-600 estimate. In the letter sent to Cyril Dickman, a former steward at Buckingham Palace, she writes:
鈥榃illiam adores his little brother and spends the entire time swamping Harry with an endless supply of hugs and kisses.鈥
Luke McDonald is the Director of Cheffins Fine Art auctions, where the letters were sold, and told 5 live Drive:
鈥淭hose two [letters] are really quite personal, which Princess Diana might have only sent to her closest friends.鈥
Photos, Christmas cards and a slice of cake from the Queen's wedding also went under the hammer, with the whole collection of 40 lots selling for around 拢55,000.
