Donald Trump has named his son-in-law Jared Kushner as a top adviser but Democrats are calling for the president-elect's choice to be reviewed over concerns of nepotism and conflict of interest.

But Steven Bertoni, who was the first journalist to interview Mr Kushner after Trump's election win, told PM that a lot of people were "relieved that Kushner is going to have the president's ear."

He said "he's very even-keeled, he's very centralist, he's very pragmatic."
