How I set a world record by mistake
Lawn bowls is not normally an endurance sport but Shayne Barwick from Queensland, Australia, has become famous for ‘breaking’ the world record – 73 hours of continuous bowling. That’s over three days straight. The only problem: there was no record to break. It turned out he had misread an article in the Guinness Book of Records.
He does however now hold the world record and has raised over $20,000 for the local community in the process.
