Syria Peace Talks Begin in Kazakhstan

For the first time, the opposition delegation has been formed exclusively of representatives of armed groups.

It's the first time talks have been convened by Russia, Turkey and Iran rather than the United Nations. And it's also the first time representatives of Syria's armed rebel groups have led the opposition side at the negotiating table.
