Should grandparents be paid to look after their grandchildren?
A report has found that thousands of grandparents are missing out on National Insurance perks they could get while babysitting the kids. Sir Steve Webb, Director of policy at Royal London, wants the government to encourage more people to claim them but many grandparents don't know about it. It's called a grandparent credit and could be worth about 拢230 a year when they retire - they have to be of working age while looking after the child.
