'Better to split up EU or work together?'
Boris Johnson is a "behaving like a clown" over Brexit talks, says the chairman of the centre-right EPP grouping in the European parliament.
And Manfred Weber claimed that "nobody explained to the British people what Europe is all about".
He told Daily Politics presenter Andrew Neil that the EU was ready for a fair deal, but they had to work out what it meant.
Asked about a future trade deal with a post-Brexit UK, he said other non-EU states, such as Canada and India, "will never get the same status like EU members have....of this free trade zone".
