Howard Hughes launched the radio station on the 21st January 1992.

Andrew Peach reminisced with Howard on the breakfast show, including playing 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's first ever moments on air.

The station started life as a sister station to nearby 大象传媒 Radio Oxford, broadcasting for part of the weekday and on weekday mornings.

大象传媒 Radio Berkshire is currently based at Caversham Park, the building is also home to 大象传媒 Monitoring.
