'Her apparent inability to answer was not the best answer'
The Prime Minister's "apparent inability to answer" to the reports of failed Trident missile tests was "not the best answer", said former Cabinet Minister John Whittingdale
He was commenting on the PM'S appearance on the 大象传媒's Andrew Marr Show, when she was questioned on a reports of a missile test malfunction in June, which happened just weeks before a crucial Commons vote on Trident's future. On the programme, Theresa May repeatedly refused to say if she knew about the misfire ahead of the vote.
Speaking on the 大象传媒's Westminster Hour, Mr Whittingdale said that although he didn't know what went on in Number 10, he "would have expected they would have at least discussed the best response", given that it was "the splash story of The Sunday Times".
