No more 'free rides' on US defence budget
Ted Malloch looks at the future of the UK-US special relationship, claiming it is back on track after "nearly a decade of drift."
In a personal film for This Week, the man expected to be the next US ambassador to the EU, says France, Germany and Luxembourg are "simply going to have to pay more", with no free ride on the American defence budget.
As Theresa May arrives in Washington, he said: "We need to start planning for a return state visit, so that President Trump can meet the Queen this summer, putting the special relationship firmly back on course."
