Movie Reviews with James Luxford - T2 Trainspotting

James Luxford from the Radio Times on T2 Trainspotting, Sing! and Hacksaw Ridge

David Prever is joined in the studio by James Luxford from the Radio Times. They discuss this week's Oscar nominations, which have produced few surprises but plenty to get excited about. James tells David the correct name for the Trainspotting sequel, which is released this week. Twenty years in the making, this follow-up to the 1996 classic stars Ewan McGregor as Mark Renton who returns to Edinburgh to face his past after two decades away. T2 Trainspotting gets a glowing review - as does Hacksaw Ridge from director Mel Gibson and starring Andrew Garfield. It's based on the true story of a conscientious objector who saved the lives of 75 men during one of the bloodiest battles of WWII. And James is a big fan of Sing! - the latest animated film from the makers of Despicable Me. It's the story of a koala who owns a once-grand theatre which has fallen on hard times. He stages a singing competition in a bid to revive the theatre's fortunes. "It makes you smile... an enjoyable film the kids will love"
