Will white paper solve housing shortage?
Former Housing Minister Grant Shapps said the government's housing white paper "will not make that much difference" and that two or three million more homes were needed with up 15 new towns, each with a population of 100,000 population.
He was speaking to Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn, along with shadow housing minister Andy Slaughter, ahead of Communities secretary Sajid Javid publishing housing plans for in England.
