Health lifestyle 'better than any pill'
A new campaign is being launched, encouraging people to adopt a healthier lifestyle, to reduce the risk of dementia.
The Welsh Government says people who stay active, watch their weight and stop smoking and drinking heavily, are 60% less likely to get dementia.
More than 42,000 people here are being treated for the disease.
A long-term health study of men living in the Caerphilly area found exercise can play a significant role in reducing the risk of developing dementia in later life.
It was led by Cardiff University professor Peter Elwood.
