'Bowling takes me around the world'
A Bedfordshire teenager has told how her love for tenpin bowling has taken her around the world after being introduced to the sport by her mother.
Lorna Scott, from Houghton Regis, will be travelling to the European Youth Championships in Finland with Junior Team England.
Normally, the 17-year-old trains four to five times a week for two hours but this increases leading up to tournaments.
Miss Scott first won a place on the team when she was just 12 years old.
"Since then I've just got to better England teams like the Europeans," she said.
"My mum was the one who started it in the family. Then my brothers started and then because I used to [go] with them, I thought I may as well start too."
